Hi I'm Daniel Northrup

I'm a Mormon. I was born and raised in California.

About Me

I'm a Final Fantasy XI player. Went to some college, haven't graduated yet. I'm an Eagle Scout. Almost a vegitarian, and Goth. I'm half Canadian, family in Taber, Calgary, and Lethbridge. Serving a mission right now in Calgary. I love Dancing, Sewing, RPGs, Everything black, Anime. I was born on the same day as Joseph Smith, about 180 years apart.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Church. But I wasn't converted until after I turned 20, I had one specific very important prayer answered in such a real and literal way. I'm a mormon because I know the LDS church is Gods restored church on the earth. I know the Book of Mormon is true.

How I live my faith

Member of my ward's Elder's Quorum. At the moment, serving a mission. When I get back from a mission, hopefully I'll be alot more bold, open and talkitive.

What is the Book of Mormon?

Daniel Northrup
The Book of Mormon, is a book that, about 1000 years ago, was written on plates of metal by people who lived on the American continent. A historian, Mormon, took all the records from the people and compiled them. He then burried it where around 1830, Jospeh Smith found this record. Using the gifts and power of God, he translated it into Enlgish, and published it. Like the introduction says, it's another testament, or witness of Jesus Christ. It's scripture, like the Bible. There is plenty of physical evidence, but the greatest is the spiritual one you can recieve after you read the Book of Mormon, think about it's message, and pray about if it's true or not. What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

Daniel Northrup
The official answer is the best one. We share a message about Jesus Christ. Also about God, and a plan he has for each of his children. We invite people to do things, to help them grow in faith, and help them repent. We don't come to houses to push anything on people, but to talk, discuss, and feel the spirit. Show more Show less
