Hi I'm Darlene

I love life. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have a master's degree and a great job. I love to read, travel, and be with my family. I'm a favorite aunt, and I adore my nieces and nephews.

Why I am a Mormon

I have come to know for myself that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true. I love the peace I feel and the direction I receive when I read The Book of Mormon and the Bible. I know that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ love each of us and have a plan for us that extends beyond this life. This life does have a purpose, which includes the trials we face. I'm grateful to know that the struggles I am going through now are helping me to become a better person and that the Lord is always there for me.

How I live my faith

I have been able to give service in the church in many different ways. Some of these ways include teaching classes, leading the women's organization in our congregation, leading and teaching children, and serving as a full-time missionary for 18 months. I currently help take care of the small children at church on Sunday so their parents can attend the meetings. The children are so sweet and fun to be with! My faith is part of who I am, and I hope it shows by the way I live in all areas of my life. It's important to me to be a good employee and to help those I serve at work. I also try to be a good neighbor, friend, sister, daughter, and aunt.

What blessings can you receive from reading the Book of Mormon, the Bible, and other scriptures?

Reading the scriptures helps me feel closer to God and Jesus Christ. I have had questions answered and have been given direction in my life through the scriptures. When I read them thoughtfully, I feel the peace and joy that come from the Holy Ghost. Show more Show less
