Hi I'm Rea

I'm a busy working wife and mother of 8 and I'm a Mormon

About Me

God + Family = Me. I was born of goodly parents and have 4 brothers. I'm married to my best friend and we are parents of 8 wonderful children. I work full time, an Executive Assistant by trade and I love helping others. My life is dedicated to helping others set and reach their goals. When I have free time, I love to learn, so I read a lot. My current focus is learning about other countries - their customs, languages and cultures. I also love to cook, entertain friends and family and I love the outdoors.

Why I am a Mormon

My life is dedicated to my family. When I was just 18 years old, my mother died from complications of her illness. The foundation she gave me in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints helped me cope that tremendous loss. I'm so grateful to know that Heavenly Father is our literal Father and that we were created in His image. I'm grateful to know the Plan of Salvation and that families can be together forever. I know that Jesus Christ if the literal Son of God. He loves us so much He gave His life for each of us. Life is filled with ups and downs and knowing that we are meant to succeed and that we are not alone gives me the confidence and strength to continue when all seems lost. I'm grateful to know that Heavenly Father is mindful of each of us and that He knows us individually and collectively. He loves us so He restored the Gospel to remind us of where we came from, why we're here and where we're going. I'm grateful for the Prophets from Joseph Smith to Thomas S. Monson today. I am grateful for Temples! I know the Book of Mormon is true and that it is Another witness of Christ. It was preserved for us, today. It is meant to help guide us back to Our Heavenly Father. The choice is ours and I choose to be a member of this Church because I know that it is not only true but that it is led by the proper authority.

How I live my faith

Someone once told me that "we don't need to go out of the way to live the Gospel of Jesus Christ, we just need to live it along the way". I believe that to be true. I serve wherever service is needed. I try to treat others with kindness, respect and compassion everyday. My husband and I teach our children to do the same. We love to do community service as a family...it strengthens our family bond and forms unity. One of our favorite holiday traditions is to select a family to serve. Each of us prays to know who might need our assistance the most. Seeing our children's faces as they give to others (despite their own wants and needs) is a choice experience for us.

Why is family so important to Mormons?

We believe that family is central to God's plan for His children. In our families, we love serve, teach and learn from each other. We are blessed to have 8 children and although we've experienced some difficult challenges we believe that families are meant to be forever and try hard hard everyday to live worthy of that gift.
