Hi I'm Abby

I have been divorced and am happily remarried with a combined family of 8. I am a woman business owner. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Germany when my dad was in the Air Force. I claim South Carolina as home, but have lived all over the world. I love to travel and experience other cultures, food and people. I love music and dancing and trivia games. I am a remarried mother of 5 active children. Even though I am short in stature, I have 2 tall sons who love basketball, a daughter who is a gifted dancer, a 5 year old son who can identify every piece of heavy equipment used for construction and my youngest girl who loves giving everyone a run for their money. I started my own company several years ago. I was extremely nervous as the world of finance has been generally dominated by men. But I worked hard and gained a reputation for being honest, hard working and straight forward. I now am a business leader in my community helping others gain success in their own business. We love being in the outdoors. We have several four-wheelers and enjoy spending time riding in the mountains by our house. Even though we are a combined family, we love hanging out together and laughing.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents joined the church before I was born. I grew up going to church every Sunday, but I drifted away after High School. I didn't make the right decisions and went downhill fast. After my divorce, I prayed for a return to happiness. I worried about how I was going to provide for my children. I was so unhappy. After, I knew what I had to do. I knew I was happiest when I was younger and I followed what I had been taught in church. I made a commitment at that time to return to church and live the principles that are taught there. I am happy to say that I met my eternal companion shortly thereafter. We have been sealed together as family for all eternity. I have never been so happy nor felt so much security and comfort. I know that I have made the right decision to follow God's plan to return to live with him and my family. I am so grateful for Jesus and his sacrifice so that I may be forgiven of my wrongs in the past. I am thankful that my testimony of the truthfulness of the gospel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints has lead me to overcome my divorce and find happiness again.

How I live my faith

We attend church every Sunday as a family. My children are all involved in the youth programs in our town. My husband gets to work with the Young Men in our town. He teaches on Sundays and has activities on Wednesdays fulfilling Boy Scout requirements. I work with the Young Women in our area. I love going to our annual Girls Camp. It is so much fun to leave the business world behind and get goofy with the girls. As our faith puts family first, so do we. We love getting together as a family at the dinner table every night and share our experiences from the day. We support each other at our games or dance recitals and we love movie night with pizza.
