Hi I'm Mark

I was born in Boise, Idaho. I am happily married and working in Eastern Idaho. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in the LDS church and have faced some unique challenges in my life. I love doing things in the outdoors. Some of my favorite hobbies are hiking, camping, snowboarding, picking wild huckleberries and most of all spending time with family and friends. I am a college graduate and working until I can go to graduate school. My wife and I have been married for nearly 2 years now, we do not have any kids but hope to have some in the future. We enjoy helping others and striving to make our community a better place.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon for so many reasons, but mostly because I know that the church is true. If you know something like this, it will change your life. I have been fortunate enough to grow up with an amazing family and friends. My parents were both hard-working and faithful individuals. I grew up relying on their testimony and examples to teach me and help direct my life. My father passed away when I was young and I have since relied more heavily individually on my Heavenly Father. I know that he is there because I have felt his comfort and influence on a daily basis in my life. Just because I have the knowledge that the gospel of Jesus Christ is true, it does not mean that my life has been easy or that I do not make mistakes. I am constantly struggling with striving to be a better person, not just because it is a commandment, but because I have the knowledge that I am a child of God, and I am striving to be more like him. I also know that everyone one on earth is a Heavenly brother or sister and that I can do so much to help each person. The amazing thing about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is that you are not expected to be perfect, no one is, you are just expected to try, everyone makes mistakes, that is why I am grateful for the knowledge of the atonement of Jesus Christ and for the gospel in my life.

How I live my faith

Everyone has a difficult life, why make it even harder for someone? We are all here on earth being tested in our own unique way, why would I want to make that experience more difficult or worse for someone else? With this knowledge I have decided to strive to be kind and caring to every person I encounter, because I know what it is like to have challenges in my life, and I do not want to make another person's life any more difficult than it needs to be.
