Hi I'm Danielle Newman

I love to serve, read, country swing dance, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the third child in a family of eight children. Being the oldest daughter I was always the babysitter. I went away to college for two years and earned an Associates degree of science. I love to go country swing dancing with friends. I enjoy crafts such as crochet, and sewing. Currently I am serving a full time mission and loving it. I am meeting people from all around the world, and trying new foods have been an adventure. I love all that my Savior Jesus Christ did for me and still does for me.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents are both members and so my siblings and I were raised to have and live good moral values and to read from the scriptures to develop our personal relationships with our Savior Jesus Christ. In church I remember my teachers always encouraging us to pray to God and ask for ourselves if this was Christ's restored church. They didn't want us to lean on our own or others understanding, but on God himself. For a long time I didn't think I recieved my answer when I did pray and ask. But I continued doing the things I knew were good and right hoping I would get some divine answer. In my late teens I was having a hard time and asked God again in prayer and I received a thought in my head from the Holy Ghost telling me I already knew that it was true. And that I needed to continue being a good example to others. Since then I have tried hard to be a good example especially to my younger siblings and show them that I know my Savior really does love me enough to help me through anything.

How I live my faith

I continually try hard to become a better person everyday. We all have hard times and fall short, but we can always get back up again and with the Lord's help continue to endure and enjoy life. I love being able to visit friends and help bring a smile to their face when they know God loves them. I especially have loved working with children in the church and trying to teach them with their short attention spans. But many times the answers they give when they are asked questions about God are astounding and wonderful to see how close children are to our Father in Heaven.

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

Danielle Newman
For me the things that tell me God exists are the many times "coincidences" happen. Things happen at just the right time, or people I meet that help me or I help them in ways that I wouldn't have imagined before. Times like those I realize God has his hand in my life to help me and help his children through me. Show more Show less
