Hi I'm Naledi

I live in South Africa and the only Member of the Church in my Family. Im proud to be a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Naledi. Im from a small town around Krugersdorp, South Africa. I was baptised in July 2007 and Im the only member of the Church in my Family. Im the Young Single Adult Female Rep in my Branch. I have two Sisters, older and younger. We live with our dad, grandma, great grandma and other members of our family. Though they are not members of the Chuch, they respect my decisions and my beliefs. They also support me in everything i do especially concerning Church activities.

Why I am a Mormon

Im a Mormon because the Church is true and I have found out for myself. The teachings and everything about the Church is so true. It wasnt difficult to get my answer, all i did was kneel and Pray to Heavenly Father to ask if the things the missionaries were teaching me were really true. And He answered me by the power of the Holy Ghost.

How I live my faith

Being the only member in my Family and at work is not easy, but example is the Best teacher. Being a leader of YSAs have taught me so much. It teaches Patience and makes it easy to get along with people, cause then i have to put my issues aside and do the Lord's work.

What is the Relief Society?

Naledi
Relief Society is the women's organization. It teaches Us Women important things and prepares us who arent married or have children for the future. It also helps us improve our homes and families. We share our skills and talents. I love it when we learn to cook, bake, sew, knit, iron, plant veggies and flowers.. When im in that class i feel relief, and happy cause of the love we sisters have for each other. I also love Visiting Teaching, cause it builds trust between sisters and friendships are formed., ever lasting friendships. Some of my prayers have been answered by doing visiting teaching.. Visiting teaching is not only about the message we share with them every month, or getting that tick on the register to show that i've visited the sisters im assigned to visit... its about being there for them everytime they need me, be their shoulder to cry on, do less talking and more listening, helping them with the house chores, building trust among ourselves and always willing to go the extra mile. Visiting teaching its a pleasure, a joy beyond measure... I also love it when the married women share their experience, about marriage, motherhood, dating, and so forth.. Its just exciting and makes me look forward to the future... Show more Show less
