Hi I'm Jessica

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a self proclaimed tom boy who loves life, especially when it involves those that I love. I am a college graduate with a BS in Family Science and a stay at home mom of 3 very young children. I recently resigned as a member of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir to follow my husband to Pennsylvania as he pursues his graduate studies. We've been married for 5 glorious years and I'm still over the top in love with my husband. Being a wife and a mom is my passion, though closely followed by singing and sports. I played competition soccer for 6 years and enjoy watching football, basketball, soccer and just about any sport I can get, especially when my team of choice wins! Singing, especially songs about Jesus Christ, is the crowning jewel in my life, making life and this world rich and worthwhile.

Why I am a Mormon

Life is hard and can throw you some amazing curveballs. My faith, strengthened by courage and hope, stems from my understanding of the Atonement of Jesus Christ, the restoration of His church through the prophet Joseph Smith, the simple strength of the Book of Mormon and Bible, and revelation received through the Prophet. I love my family and I know that I can be together with them forever because of the restoration of Christ's priesthood through Joseph Smith. I am a Mormon because I have prayed to know of its truth and have received an undeniable answer that this is the Church of Jesus Christ on the earth today.

How I live my faith

I have spent the past 6 years of my life singing my faith as a member of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. As a musical ambassador of the church, my countenance and talent must reflect the love and light of Jesus Christ. I cannot be a good vessel of that love if I did not live as Christ has taught to the best of my mortal ability. I feel close to my Savior as I sing of him and teach of Him through music. I use my knowledge of the teachings of Christ to teach my children in my home to be kind, good friends to our neighbors, and responsible citizens of our country.
