Hi I'm Kymm

I'm a Mormon. I'm married and am a preschool teacher, without children of my own. I'm a convert to the church for over 20 years.

About Me

I'm a convert to the church. I am married with no children of my own, but I do have 2 cats who I considered my children. I am a preschool teacher and worked 8 hours a day helping raise other people's children. I love my husband, my cats, my life and My Lord, and not neccessarily in that order. I been inactive for a number of years, but always remembered and knew that the church was true. I understand the different reservations people have about the church and am married to an extemely inactive member. I have come back into the fold of the church and am even more deeply comimitted to the church than before I fell away. I enjoy reading, watching TV and movies. I love the beach and miss Southern Califronia very much. I still consider myself a Southern California girl who just lost her way for a little while. I am enjoying living on the East Coast and learning and visiting all the historic places, but still inside I am a Southern Califronia girl at heart.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the church in 1989. I met this girl in college, she was extemely braved and invited me to the Institute of Religion to Book of Mormon Class. Later that week she had me meet with the missionaires. I listened to the discussions and they just struck me as true. Everything they said and taught me were ideas that I had beleived before hand. The only new information was the Joseph Smith Conversion story. The missionaires asked me to pray about what they were teaching was tru and I didd, I recieved relevation that what I was hearing was the truth. After six weeks I was baptized. I did fall away from going to church for a while because of my own pride and hurt feelings, but the whole time I was away I still beleive in the church doctrines and followed the church teachings. I went to other chruches but none of them seem quite right and did not have the fullness of the gospel that the church has. Also no other church has every encourage me to pray about what they are teaching, they just expect you to believe them and not seek your own confirmation. The Mormon church encourgaes you to pray and ask for your own relevation not just blindly accept whatever they are teaching you. That gives you the chnace to pray for yourself and feel the Holy Spirit whisper the truth to you.

How I live my faith

My every action is how I live my faith. I am kind, I never lie or say unkind things about others, I don't use profanity or be in inappropiate places. I attend my chruch meetings and help in the Ward where I can. I am a ward missionary and try to talk to people about my religion and my life. I regularly visit other Sisters in the church to help them stay strong in the faith and to help them with any problmes they may be having at the time. I let my life be an open book and am willing to talk about my life and religion to any one who has questions.
