Hi I'm Elle

I'm a closet hippie. My fingers are usually tied up in a craft project. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in a "blended like a smoothie" kind of family. My parents both remarried and have added many wonderful siblings into my life. Through the gospel of Jesus Christ I have seen my family grown closer together and stronger through the trials we have faced. Right now I'm serving a mission in Nashville so other families can have the support that mine has! I went to Brigham Young University-Idaho and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Clothing Construction and English. I loved going to a church owned school because my friends had the same standards as I do and I was able to strengthen my testimony while I also learned all the book stuffs. After the mission I plan to return to school for a Master's degree in teaching so I can share my love of literature with high schoolers! My education, faith, and service are preparing me for my ultimate goals: to be a mother of some happy little children and to one day live again with my Father in Heaven!

Why I am a Mormon

Outsiders may say that I'm a Mormon, or a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because my family raised me that way. I won't deny that it sure has helped my testimony to have the support of my family, but I do not rely on them. I have come to know for myself through study of The Book of Mormon and sincere prayer that this is the only true church of God upon the earth. I have heard it said that "God is too big for one religion" but I do no think that is so. I know that all things He does are done in order and with a direct purpose. There can only be one church for His children to belong to in order to learn all that is necessary during our time on earth. I've never been happier in my life than when I have been actively participating in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I'm not saying it's easy. I'm just saying it's really worth it!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by regularly studying the scriputures, praying, and attending church and other meetings. I live my faith by inviting others to learn more abou the church. I live my faith by participating in many responsibilities given to me at church, like planning activities, missionary service, and teaching classes on Sundays. I live my faith by taking the sacrament each week to renew the covenant, or promise, I made when I was baptized. I live my faith by following the commandments of God!
