Hi I'm Tyler

I'm a college student in Wyoming. I love the outdoors and spending time in nature! I recently got married. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a college student, and I'm currenly majoring in computer engineering. I grew up in a small town, and I've always enjoyed the small town atmosphere. Growing up near mountains, I became very fond of the outdoors. I love hiking, biking, running, and just being outside! I love camping and collecting rocks. I've been happily married for a little over six months. My wife is also attending college, and we enjoy the time that we can spend together. We currenly have a little garden that we're trying to grow in our back yard! The radishes and zucchini are doing great, but everything else looks like it's dying. At least we're trying, right? We also enjoy reading together, taking walks in the park, and cuddling up for a movie. Lately we've been getting into Smallville and other TV shows that we can stream online.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up as a member of the chruch. My parents, grandparents, and most of my extended family are members of the chruch. It gave me a great start in the gospel. This is the original reason why I became a Mormon. The reason that I'm still a Mormon is because I know that it's true! I love the church and what it teaches. Over the years I've grown to understand the doctrines and principles of the gospel. I know that the teachings lead to happiness. We all have to learn this on an indivudual basis. Some people have defining, grandeur moment where the gospel suddenly makes sense; for others, it can be a slow, tested, gradual process. I'm fit latter category. I’ve studied, prayed, fasted, and pleaded to know the truths of the gospel, and through the enveloping of the Spirit, I’ve come to know of certain things for myself. I personally know that God is real. There is a scripture that often reflects the pleas of my heart. It’s Alma 22:18 where Lamoni’s father cried to God saying: “O God, if there is a God; and if thou art God, wilt thy make thyself known unto me?” I’ve pondered that scripture many times, and every time I can feel the comfort of the Holy Ghost. God is real. He has a plan for each of us. We are His children, and we can turn to Him in sincere prayer. We can feel Him next to us as we strive to seek His help. I know that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and this knowledge came from years of studying and living the gospel. I'm a Mormon becuase I sincerely believe that the gospel and teachings of Jesus Christ are true. I stive to love and live it.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be a good person every day. I try to be respectful and kind to everyone. I help whenever a service opportunity arises. I try to be the type of neighbor that can be relied on. I put in an honest day's work for my boss. I help out with the scouting program in my area, and strive to be an example to them. I attend chruch, and try to accomplish what is asked of me. I make a conscience effort to be a better person than I was before.
