Hi I'm Rob Nielsen

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a father of 4. They, along with my wife are the joy of my life and my motivation each and every day. I love sports and the outdoors and I am always trying to make an excuse to enjoy them. I am a business consultant who has the opportunity to work with clients in order to take a closer look at the effectiveness of their programs. The goal is to help our clients learn and measure what really matters in these programs in order to avoid any potential pitfalls that would cause any delays in their schedule and which will cost them more money. This is much like all of us in life as we are all striving to progress. As we learn those things that would stall or halt that progression, we are better equipped to avoid being our own stumbling block. I love working with these organizations to help them discover the best ways to operate and try to do the same in my own personal life.

Why I am a Mormon

I was lucky enough to have a family and extended family involved in the church and help me develop a love for Jesus Christ. I have been a Latter day Saint my entire life, but do not want to discount the importance of finding, developing, and nurturing a personal testimony of the truthfulness of the gospel. I think that other peoples faith and example can cary an individual only so far before they have to find the truth for themself. This is the only church that I hav encountered that encourages others to ask God if it is true, and believe wholeheartedly through personal experience that God will hear and answer that inquiry. This in turn becomes the potential foundation of a fruitful relationship with the higher source of knowledge and spirituality. Potential because we must be faithful and worthy on our end, meaning when there is a break in that relationship, it is due to our deficiencies and not God's. This teaching and relationship has lead to me having a softer heart and being able to study the scriptures with more purpose and understanding and I believe God wants that for all his children. If you are curious about what the next steps in your life could and should be in finding more about this, feel free to contact me and I can introduce you to the missionaries who deliver this message daily. God speed.

How I live my faith

I have had so many incredible opportunities over the years to be an instrument in God's hands. I was able to spend 2 years in the Philippines when I was 19 years old when I dedicated my life to sharing and teaching the gospel along with the saving principles and ordinances of the gospel for 2 years to the filipino people. Since then, I have been involved on the local level, alays trying to be willing to serve and grow my talents while helping others grow theirs. I am currently an instructor for our local ward where I have the opportunity to teach the New Testament this year. I love studying the life and teachings of Jesus Christ and realize that I have a long, long way to go in being more like him. I appreciate and respect the challenge though as Rome was not built in a day, neither will our talents be fruitful in a day without many hours of working on them and developing them. Christ reminds me to put my time and energy on the things that matter most, like family, personal worthiness, and service to others. I can only imagine the type of wisdom that we can develop after many years of making these things our priorities. Anyone is welcome at our church and we would love to have you, so please stop by if you are interested.
