Hi I'm Austin

I am a Wyomingite, snowboarding, dirt biking, Yoga attempting, family loving, Mormon.

About Me

I love life! I will be attending my first year of college next spring. I love to dirt bike, snowboard, boating, hunting, and just about anything that involves outside! My family means the world to me. Each person is unique which is why I love them! I love spending time with them. It can be as simple as driving in the car with each other. To something as crazy as white water rafting! It doesn't matter as long as we are spending our time with one another. As of now I am serving a mission for the church. Just before I left home for my mission I worked in the Oilfield. This was an adventure in itself. It was great to get to put my life on the line every day, so that others could have the comities they take for granted every day here in the U.S. It was an eye opening experiences in many ways. First just the people who work in the oil-field aren't always the most, well mannered. It was neat for me to see how the Gospel really can affect your life. Every day I watched people who seemed happy, but their happiness wasn't lasting. I saw that their happiness came from their expensive toys, or things that money bought them. Which made me sad for them, because all my life I grew up with an understanding that the important things in life are the things that you will take with you to the next life like your family and to see that the people that I worked with didn't have the same understanding of the importance of family, was sad for me. It made me more grateful for mine.

Why I am a Mormon

My family is the reason why I am a member of the Lord's church. It's Heavenly Father's plan that families be together forever, not just "till death do you part". I know that by living the Gospel of Jesus Christ, this is a promised blessing from Heavenly Father. That the ones who I love most in life, will be able to spend the eternities with me. There is nothing in the world that brings greater happiness and peace then KNOWING that my family can be together forever. That not even death can separate us. I know that this couldn't be possible if it wasn't for Jesus Christ. For his love, and mercy to suffer for us. To make it possible to break free from both spiritual and temporal death. That through him we can conquer all even the very gates of hell. Through him our families can be together forever. This is a gift offered to all, on condition of coming unto him. The Savior said, "Now this is the commandment: repent, all ye ends of the earth, and come unto me and be baptized in my name, that ye may be sanctified by the reception of the Holy Ghost, that ye may stand spotless before me at the last day. Verily, verily, I say unto you, this is my gospel; and ye know the things that ye must do in my church; for the works which ye have seen me do that shall ye also do; for that which ye have seen me do even that shall ye do; Therefore, if ye do these things blessed are ye, for ye shall be lifted up at the last day." (3rd Nephi 27:20-22)

How I live my faith

I am currently serving a Mission for the Church. In which I have dedicated two years to full-time missionary service. My day usually includes waking up, saying my morning prayer, studying the scriptures, then from 1000 am to 900 pm I spend bringing others closer to Jesus Christ. It's such a blessing and joy to be able to bring others unto Jesus Christ. I do this by helping them receive the restored gospel through Faith in Jesus Christ and His Atonement, Repentance, Baptism, Receiving the Gift of the Holy Ghost through proper power and authority of God, and Enduring to the End. It's a blessing to be the Lord's ambassador being able to bring my brothers and sisters closer to him, because it brings me closer to him as well. As I get to teach others these principles, I too get to exercise them in my live, which every time brings me great happiness and joy, knowing I am living the way Heavenly Father wants me to. This fills me with His love. I then try to cultivate this love and share it with all that I come in contact with that is how I live my faith.
