Hi I'm David Taylor

I'm a college student, getting ready for dental school. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I'm a senior in college, just finishing up my music major. I want to go to dental school, so I've got several more years of study before me. My wife Ann and I have a beautiful baby boy and we're learning how to be parents. I like fixing things--all kinds of stuff.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in to the church, but when I was a teenager I saw all of the things I wasn't allowed to do being a member and I had second thoughts. But I figured that if I did some studying on my own, I could decide what I thought and decide to stay in the church or leave it behind. I'm that kind of person--I either like to be 100% in something or not involved at all. So I read the Book of Mormon and began to really feel God's influence on my life, and before I finished, I knew that the church is true.

How I live my faith

I read the Book of Mormon every day. I have family prayer and family home evenings with my wife and child. We go to church every sunday. We pay a 10% tithing on everything we earn. We fast on the first sunday of every month and give to the poor. I serve in the church playing music, teaching the gospel, and attending to the spiritual and temporal welfare of the other members.

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

David Taylor
The best way to know that God is there is to pray and do his will. As we do that, we will feel of his love and begin to notice what he is doing for us as a result of us showing our love for him. Show more Show less
