Hi I'm Shelby

I am from California, and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I have a pretty close family, and never really had any alone time as I grew up. We have our differences, especially since all of my siblings and I are so distant in age (all of them younger), but I love my family and I know they will always be there for me. Currently, I seem to be in a sort of limbo. I'm going to school part time at the local community college, and also working part time. I'm not sure what exactly I should do with my life, but hopefully I will be able to figure that out soon! My life will lead me to it one way or another. I LOVE to dance! I love to smile, be with friends and family, and enjoy life the best I can and in every way possible.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in this gospel, and was baptized at the age of 8. I have had quite a few struggles with my testimony throughout my life. Even so, I have come to realize that not once during those times was I ever able to deny the truth of the gospel. Through my trials so far, I have come to know and feel the Atonement work miracles in my life and my heart. It changed me through and through. I love my Savior with all my soul. He lives, and loves every single one of us and knows our situations perfectly. If you come to Him, He can heal your heart, quiet your fears, and you can feel His love. You are never really alone, and you can always rely on him to be there for you.

How I live my faith

I have recently been asked to play the hymns for my ward. I have never played songs like the hymns before in my life, and I was extremely scared to do this (especially since I been a little out of practice the past year and a half). But since I accepted, I have been able to see so much improvement in my piano skills, and I can really feel the Lord's spirit through music. Even though I sometimes mess up while playing on Sundays in front of everyone, I still love to play the hymns for my ward. I get so much more joy from playing the piano than I ever expected. I am eternally grateful for the talents God has given me, and I hope I can bring someone listening out there the same spirit I feel while playing.
