Hi I'm Josh

I'm a software developer. I enjoy spending time with my family - My wife and I have three children, all girls. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a husband to the most beautiful wife in the world. I'm a father to three beautiful girls, all with the sweetest spirits. My family and I love the outdoors, camping and fishing. We love spending time outdoors taking walks or bike rides through trails. I'm a software developer by trade, have been for almost 10 years now. I love my job, not even like work to me, it's like a hobby I get paid for!

Why I am a Mormon

I was not quite born into the church, but started attending at an early age. My father was a member but inactive when I was born, so my grandmother brought my brother Jeremy and I to church every sunday. We learned about Christ and Heavenly Father, and we learned at an early age what it meant to keep the Sabbath Day Holy. We learned the Sabbath was for church and the Heavenly Fathers work to be done. One day my father, and avid fisherman, was preparing to take us fishing Sunday morning. I asked him (I was about 3-4 years old) "Shouldn't we be going to church?". This was a wakeup call to my Father. We soon began attending as a family everyday. My mother and father were great examples to me as I grew. I have always had a testimony that the Church is true, but since I have been married and have children, I have learned how important the Gospel of Jesus Christ is in my life. I know the Church is the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ, just as He established during His ministry on Earth. I know that Joseph Smith Jr was a prophet and through the power of God, he translated the Book of Mormon. I know we have a living prophet on the Earth today. I know the church is true, the Holy Spirit has testified this to me - I cannot deny this truth.

How I live my faith

I know I'm not perfect, far from, but I do my best to live my faith in evey aspect of my life. I love the church and I love my Heavenly Father and my Savior Jesus Christ. My family and I try to attend services every Sunday. I am a Priesthood holder. I have had many trials in my life, but through faith in Jesus, we have come through cancer, heart problems, pnemonia that almost took my daughters life. I know it was faith that brought us through. People say "there are no more miracles", but I have seen many true miracles in my life and in the church. I always try to set a good example to those around me, and won't turn down a discussion about my faith or why I am different. My friends and co-workers often question me because of some of the things that seem different about me. I don't drink alcohol, coffee or tea. I keep the Sabbath Day holy; I won't go shopping or to the ball game with my friends on Sunday. I feel strongly my life should be no different Sunday morning in church or at work or play. I love the Gospel and know it strengthens me and my family.
