Hi I'm Christian

I'm a father. I'm a writer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

The most important thing to me in my life is my family. I have a wonderful wife and a beautiful son, and we're currently in that tricky transitional place between finishing college and really making enough to provide for ourselves. I've always dreamed of becoming a writer, and I'm working on that dream while trying to keep food on the table and a smile on my face.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and I think I always believed that it was true. Throughout my life, I've realized that following the gospel makes me happy. Living the commandments makes me feel close to my Heavenly Father. Reading the Book of Mormon and listening to the prophets gives me a good feeling. I believe that these good feelings are Heavenly Father telling me that the church is true and good. I know that I have been blessed as I have followed the commandments. Life has a lot of uncertainty in it, and I think it is wonderful to have the gospel as an anchor. It is a place I can return to when I feel that I have lost my way. My knowledge of the gospel helps me to know how I want to live and who I want to be, and it helps me to get there.

How I live my faith

My wife and I were recently called to teach the thirteen-year-old boys and girls during Sunday School. We haven't begun yet, but we're looking forward to it. In our last ward, I served as an assistant scoutmaster and a Teacher's Quorum advisor. Before that, my wife and were teachers for four- and five-year-olds. I love getting to work with young people. They have such a unique way of looking at the world, and it has been so wonderful to help them learn about the gospel.
