Hi I'm Travis

I'm a musician. One day I want to be a nuclear engineer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm married and a full-time student. My wife is pregnant and we happy to be expecting an addition to our family! I was studying music education but recently changed to engineering. I love science, carpentry, classical music and reading. I'm an eagle scout, and I served a mission for the church in South Africa and Namibia.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I love Jesus Christ and I know this is His church. When I was about twelve years old I was really fighting a lot with my siblings and I wasn't happy. One night I went to my room in frustration and opened up the Book of Mormon to 3 Nephi 14:3-5 page 435. The instruction was so direct and obvious and from that point on my testimony of Jesus Christ, the Book of Mormon, and of the church has grown stronger and stronger.

How I live my faith

I'm a teacher of the adult men in my branch of the church. I also look for opportunities to sit next to others that often sit by themselves. I like to get to know them and help them feel welcome and loved. I participate in every service activity that I can and will usually get others to come with me. Each day I find an opportunity to talk about Jesus Christ with someone that I know. I feel like the best way to live like Christ did is to serve others. There are so many opportunities every day to give of my time and my talents. I feel closest to our Savior Jesus Christ when I'm helping others.
