Hi I'm Donna

I am a widow, I like collecting, selling and restoring antique woodworking tools. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a widow, my husband was my heart and soul, and I miss him dearly. I like collecting, selling and restoring antique woodworking tools. I own and operate a tool store online, it is very demanding but like the freedom of working at home. I have two dogs Katie and Susie and Kit the cat, they keep me on my toes all of the time. If you would come to my door you would think I was crazy, because I talk to them all of the time. I like the outdoors, working in the yard and splitting fire wood for the winter it is a way to get alot of your frustrations out!

Why I am a Mormon

I had made a promise to my husband that I would take care of him through sickness and through Health and he passed away in my arms at home. I lost my husband from cancer I was also facing a foreclosure, a move and running my own business all at the same time. Life seemed to be at the lowest point I could imagine, to the point I was contemplating suicide. After the move I was very depressed but work consumed all of my time and seemed I never truly grieved for the loss of my husband. Physically I was a mess, I had lost a lot of weight down to 90 pounds, smoked 2 1/2 packs of cigarettes a day and yes six pots of coffee a day. The missionaries came to my door once and I turned them away for I grew up Southern Baptist and this is what I was taught to do. A few weeks later they had returned and they asked me how I was doing, well everything started pouring out and I invited them in. Through several weeks they helped me in my time of need these girls were AWESOME! These habits were around 30 years old. Well the cigarettes turned into chewing gum and coffee to hot chocolate. I was baptized two months later. I have never felt peace before, until now. What a wonderful thing to know that Heavenly Father cares for you in times of need like I faced, he was there and had been there all along I just needed some guidance. I still have some things to work on but don’t we all, but we will prevail. Just ask and you shall receive. I am so glad to call myself a Mormon and tell everyone I talk to of my faith in Jesus Christ. I can do all things through Christ, which strentheneth me. Phillipians 4:13

How I live my faith

My goal in life now is to help others in whatever way that I can, share my testimony and spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ. If someone just needs a friend to talk to I want to be there for them. My husband and I always wanted to help people but seemed we never had the time I am making the time now for life here on this earth is very short. I study the Book of Mormon and the Holy Bible every night and during the day while I am working, listen to the scriptures. I have a lot to learn and I know God has a purpose for me now.
