Hi I'm Jimmy

I'm from Utah, I love having loads of fun, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hm.. I love to have fun!! That's my #1 favorite thing to do! I also enjoy playing pretty much any sports, I belong to a legendary ultimate frisbee team called the Zucarita Sweeps... Throughout this fast paced life of confusion and wonder, I find it relatively relaxing to listen to music of any kind or play the guitar. I enjoy playing board games. In my moments of loneliness I tend to unwind by taking a luxurious horseback ride in some mountains or just in the backyard, I love to ride my horse! Her name is Cricket. I also fancy myself as an aspiring aritist, I love to draw and to make t-shirt designs! I am in the middle of 5 crazy kids, we like to play a lot. Oh! And I couldn't live without being able to sashay through the chalky delight of a mountain, powdered with snow, on a board! Snowboarding is a key ingredient to my love for life!

Why I am a Mormon

I have a testimony that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is, in reality, Jesus Christ's church on the earth today. I have gained that knowledge over time through prayer, study, experience, and keeping God's commandments. I have also had my own personal challenges and the Book of Mormon has been a source of heavenly guidance through those times. I testify that the Book of Mormon is the word of God. I also know that Joseph Smith did see God and Jesus Christ. Joseph Smith is the prophet through whom Jesus Christ brought back His original gospel. I know it, I live it, I share it! The gospel makes me HAPPY!

How I live my faith

Right now I am serving as a full-time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I am grateful for the opportunity that I've had thus far! I've been able to serve in Alexandria, North Saint Paul, Winona, and now in Duluth. I love to serve people. I'm learning that as we do the things that our Savior did, we know more fully who the Savior is. I love Jesus Christ and will continue to serve Him with all my heart, might, mind, and strength!

What is Mormonism? OR What do Mormons believe?

God is our Father and He loves us, so he made a plan to give us the ability to return called the Plan of Salvation. Central to that plan is Jesus Christ. He suffered for our sins and it is only through Him that we can live with God again. But we have to develop faith in Christ and His atonement, repent, be baptized by immersion, receive the Gift of the Holy Ghost, and Endure to the End!! Check out the Articles of Faith, they are all about what we Mormons believe. Show more Show less

What is the Mormon lifestyle like? How do Mormons live?

I'm going to answer this question on a more personal note. As a mormon, I strive to be like Christ. One of my focuses throughout each day is to align my actions with what God wants me to do. Now, I want to talk about Family Home Evening (FHE)! Mormons set aside one night every week where we can spend family time together. This is unique to our faith and is a practice that has strengthened me as a servant of God. FHE has helped me to develop relationships with my siblings and parents (We believe we're going to be together forever!), has been a time to learn gospel principles in our home, and has helped me to have and recognize experiences with God. The Mormon lifestyle is all centered around Jesus Christ and our Families. Show more Show less
