Hi I'm Chris

I am a brother and a son. I am a skateboarder, a pilot, and an artist. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I served as a missionary in the great state of South Carolina! Outside of missionary work, my greatest loves are my family, my relatives, and my friends! I also love my skateboard! I absolutely love anything that has to do with art: sketching, painting, sculpting, etc. I do alright with a guitar in my hands as well. I was working on getting my pilot's license before I left on my mission and on getting a college degree. That is my focus now that I am back from my mission. I am also hoping to start a family in the next few years. These are all important goals to me. I've always enjoyed reading good books, and I gained a greater love for reading the scriptures on my mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon, because I have received so many witnesses of the reality of Jesus Christ and his Church. I have received these witnesses multiple times through reading the Book of Mormon and in many other ways. I have prayed and asked God if the Book of Mormon is true and have felt his answer to my prayers as I've studied it. It isn't some big, explosive, in your face answer. It is just a simple knowledge that comes. Not only that, I have seen the effects that reading the Book of Mormon really brings in my day to day life, in my attitude, confidence, and ability to make correct choices. I would be lying if I did not acknowledge the truths behind the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I have directly received so many blessings from God that I cannot deny where they came from. I've tried in my life to classify them as coincidences and luck, but those explanations always fall short.

How I live my faith

As a missionary, I had the opportunity to teach people about Jesus Christ. I helped them to understand that the only way to really feel freedom from the challenges, troubles, and painful feelings of regret and guilt that come with living our lives is to follow the example of Jesus Christ by being baptized. Baptism cleanses us of our past mistakes and gives us a new opportunity to begin living a clean life. Since returning from my mission, my goal is to continue to help people. Now that I am back from my mission, it is a little bit different for me to help people learn about the Church of Jesus Christ than it was on my mission. I am continuing to live my faith by continuing to be active in missionary work. I am happy to share the gospel with anyone who wants to learn. I know that it really helps feel better about ourselves and about the world and makes us feel like we really have a purpose to our lives. Actively believing and participating in the church may seem to some people like a waste of my time and energy, and really believing the teachings may seem naive or a little cheesy. This doesn't bother me, because, without the example of Jesus Christ, I could never have became the person I am. I would not have gained the confidence that I now have and the self-control I've gained. I am far from perfect, but I know that I have been blessed by God in my life.
