Hi I'm Rachael

I'm a native of Idaho. I am a dancer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a large family, and my mom made sure we all had music and dance lessons. I received a bachelor's degree in modern dance a few years ago from BYU. I married my high school sweetheart after he served a full-time mission in Russia, and we have three children. I love to play the piano, to sing, and I wish I played my violin more often. I also enjoy knitting and crocheting, and am trying to get better at sewing because I want to be able to make things for my kids. I enjoy making and eating really good food.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the LDS church, and I don't really remember not having a testimony. I was about twelve when I realized that I really had a testimony of my own, and that was an important moment to me. I doubted if I really had one, or if I was just going along with what my family was doing. I prayed to know if the church was true, and the overwhelming answer that came to my heart was that I already knew. Ever since that time my testimony has continued to be strengthened as I've tried to live gospel principles more obediently. I'm a Mormon because I love the teachings, and I love living them. I know I'm a happier person because of the knowledge I have, and the choices I make.

How I live my faith

In my congregation I serve as a leader in the women's organization. I have also previously served as a leader in the children's organization. This service has strengthened me and brought me closer to Christ. As I've served, I've felt my heart expand with a powerful feeling of charity, which is the pure love of Christ. In my desire to serve the people within the organizations and any other people that I come in contact with, I prayed to be filled with love for those that I served and the Lord answered my prayer. Part of our purpose here on earth is to serve and help our fellow man, and I've really loved my experiences in service because it's helped me to become more like Christ and to see people the way He sees them; as children of God with limitless potential.
