Hi I'm Katie Gardner

I am a wife, a friend to all, a lover of cleaning, a full time student majoring in Early Childhood Education and a Mormon.

About Me

I am someone who loves to love. I enjoy serving others because that is one of those great moments when I can feel pure love. I've had the privilege to serve the Lord as a missionary, where I served full time for a year and a half, in Rio de Janeiro Brazil. That experience was so rewarding because I found true happiness and love through serving others. I like to run, play basketball and soccer and to wrestle with my brothers. I come from a big family of 6 kids, I'm the 4th. Growing up with so many siblings was not my favorite thing. But now I have found so much joy in making memories with my family in any opportunity I get. We all live very far from each other, but we are really close. One of my most favorite things to do is to teach. I love learning something, then being able to express it to another and help them understand too. I also love children. It is my goal once I finish school to one day be a Preschool teacher.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I choose to be one. I was lucky enough to be born into a home where I had a very loving father and mother who cared for me and taught me the ways of the Lord. My wonderful parents loved me so much that through their own examples I learned the importance of the gospel of Jesus Christ. They taught me that I am a daughter of God and that God has a plan for me to return to live with Him again. They taught me that I need to make good choices in order to achieve my eternal goals. The best thing that they did for me other then just teaching me the gospel is, they let me govern myself. They did not force anything on me and so when I came to those crossroads in life where I had to make certain choices I knew I had the liberty to choose and was willing to accept whatever consequences followed. We are all faced with choices in our lives. These choices can be as simple as, what shirt are you going to wear today, to more important, like, who you will marry. But the good thing is we get to make the choice. I choose to live the commandments of God because I know they lead to blessings and happiness. I choose to live a clean life because I know it leads to a healthy life. The list goes on and on of the options we have, the choices we can make, and the results that lead to happiness or to sorrow. This is why I choose to be Mormon, because through the choices I've made I have gained knowledge of truths that bring me peace and give me strength.

How I live my faith

I live my life by loving, serving and doing everything I can to build up the lives of those around me. This is what brings me joy.
