Hi I'm Anita

I'm a latter-day saint. I am also a wife, a mom and a grammy.

About Me

I grew up living in Central and North America. In my teenage years our family lived in Panama and while we were there I gained an appreciation of other cultures and a love of travel. I guess my children got that from me because even though my husband and I live in Utah, our children live all over the United States. One of my great loves is to visit with my children and grandchildren. I feel such a great desire to help my grandchildren gain an unshakable testimony of the Savior and the truthfulness of his gospel. When I'm not visiting with family I work in the financial and investment industry and it is great to see people achieving their financial goals but it is especially rewarding to see them sharing what they have in various ways through charitable giving. I have served in various callings in the church but my greatest love is music, especially Primary music.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always had the gospel in my life. I count it as a great blessing to have always known the truth. I know there are so many of Heavenly Father's children who are still seeking answers to who am I, why am I here and what will happen to me after this life. I know that I am a daughter of God and that he loves me even more than I can imagine. I trust Him. I trust His promises. I have seen so many blessings come to me and my family as we live the teachings of the Savior with faith and determination. Because of God's love for us he has given us the Holy Spirit to guide us. He has given us modern day prophets to speak His words to us. Our Savior loved us so much that he gave His life for us on the cross. And my testimony is that He was resurected and He LIVES! This is His only true church on the earth, and the prophet Joseph Smith had the courage and the divine guidance to restore it in its fulness to the earth. The Book of Mormon is a gift from God and if we read it with a desire to know if it is true, we will be blessed with the assurance that God hears our prayers and will answer them by helping us to know that this is another testament of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

Each day I have personal prayer time with my Heavenly Father and I am always thanking Him for all His blessings and asking how I can repay His kindnesses and tender mercies to me. I am often reminded of the scripture that states" Inasmuch as ye have done it unto the least of these, ye have done it unto me". Or "Love one another as I have loved you". So I feel that if I can reach out to others and be kind, I can show my Savior and my Heavenly Fahter that I love Them and appreciate all They do for me. I love being a visiting teacher and talking with the women that I visit. I love sharing messages of hope and knowledge and understanding. Right now we have a son on a mission and I am so grateful for the opportunity to support him financially, spiritually and emotionally and to hear him share the wonderful miracles that happen in other's lives as they embrace the gospel message. He is our last child and we miss him but we are also happy that he can serve God's children and bring the joy of the gospel to them. We know that his sacrifice is helping to bless people's lives now and for future generations.
