Hi I'm Zach

Ice hockey and skimboarding are some of my favorite activities. I make delicious pizzas and Oreo pancakes. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

When I was 17, my lung popped--the doctors call it a spontaneous pneumothorax. I guess it happens very rarely, if at all, in tall, skinny, young people. I fit that profile pretty well. Luckily techonology is so amazing these days that the doctors were able to fix it by stapling the top off--where the hole had developed. After faith that it would heal, a painful week in the hospital, and a month of soreness, my lung was back to normal. Since then I've continued to play ice hockey, skimboard when I make it to the Pacific Coast, and study mathematics at college. My favorite food is my mom's chicken enchiladas. My dad owns the most delicious pizza restaurant known to man, so I work there during my spare time. It's probably my 2nd favorite food. I also like golfing with my grandpa. The only problem is he used to be a golf pro and make custom-made golf clubs, so I've only beaten him once if any. I have three wonderful, younger siblings, and together we like to play just about any game ever invented. Same goes with my best friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I've come to know of the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon by reading its contents mostly every day since I was young. I then act in prayer and faith, and apply the teachings or events in the Book of Mormon to my own life. It helps me gain knowledge of a precept or truth that adds goodness, joy, and understanding to my life. And by studying Josephs Smith's life and his account of seeing the Father and the Son, the Holy Spirit has born witness to me that Joseph was a true prophet. Yet even more important is the knowledge I've obtained of my loving Savior, Jesus Christ. He helps me and my wonderful family overcome our trials.

How I live my faith

Currently, the LDS mission I am on is truly awesome! I invite others to come unto Christ by recieving the restored gospel through faith in Jesus Christ and His Atonement, repentance, baptism, recieving the gift of the Holy Ghost, and enduring to the end. I study the scriptures about an hour each day and make sure to pray to my Heavenly Father to let him know of my gratitude and to ask for things I need in my life. I strive to become more Christ-like each day.
