Hi I'm Megan

I'm a wife, I'm an Event Planner, I'm adventerous and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love meeting new people, learning about different cultures and exploring fascinating places! I graduated with my baccalaureate degree in Journalism in December 2008. During the past few years, I have fallen in love with Scandinavia after living in Finland and Sweden. I married my best friend and the love of my life, Anthony in December 2010. I love planning events, singing and the arts, traveling, baking, learning new skills, surprising others and going on new adventures with my wonderful husband. I love life!

Why I am a Mormon

From a young age my parents taught me that we are all children of a Heavenly Father who loves us and knows us individually. God, our Heavenly Father has a plan for us and wants us to return to live with Him again. This knowledge has helped me deal with the challenges and changes that life sometimes brings our way. Throughout my youth and young adult years my understanding of God's plan, the Plan of Salvation has grown as I have prayed, read the Book of Mormon and asked to know if it is true. Many times I have felt a sweet yet powerful burning in my heart confirming what I have learned is truth. I know that Jesus Christ is our Heavenly Father's Son and is central to God's Plan. With the Savior's help we can overcome the burden of sin and guilt through repentance, we can forgive ourselves and others and experience true joy and happiness. Because the Savior came to earth and gave His life for us we can live with the assurance that through obedience to His commandments we will be able to return to our Heavenly Father and live forever with Him one day. I know that after the death of Christ many of the true doctrines He taught were skewed and changed over time. I know that in 1820, God and Jesus Christ appeared to Joseph Smith and called him to be a prophet and help them restore true principles to the earth. I know Joseph was called to translate an ancient record written by prophets called the Book of Mormon. When I read it I learn more about Jesus Christ, the Plan of Salvation and how I need to live to be happy. I know the Book of Mormon contains truth because my life has been changed as I apply the council found in it. I have seen others' lives change for the better as they read the book with a sincere desire to know and follow its teachings. Nothing has brought me greater happiness than coming to know my Savior and follow the words of the living prophet, Thomas S. Monson. The Church is my anchor in a world of changing values and uncertainty.

How I live my faith

Being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints brings true happiness in my life! As I have come to feel and know the doctrines of the church are true my desire to share the message with others grows. I want all my friends and family members, who are not a part of my faith to have the same blessings I have enjoyed. When I find ways to serve others, as the Savior did while He was on earth, I feel happier and find the greatest satisfaction. When I live according to our prophets' council I find my life has more organization, meaning and peace. My marriage and friendships are more meaningful when I apply principles the Savior and prophets have taught.
