Hi I'm Louise

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a single mother of 2 wonderful daughters. I am currently studying for a foundation degree in health care and work part time as a health care assistant for the NHS. As you can imagine my time is very precious to me and try to concentrate on the things I enjoy and are most important to me. I enjoy spending time with my daughters, we like to play WII games and other board games together, going camping and visiting the beach when we get chance. My family is important to me and I love to spend time visiting with extended family. If I can I like to enjoy the countryside with gentle walks.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family who already had knowledge of the gospel. I grew up learning gospel principles and always felt the love and friendship of those around me when we attend church meetings. There came I time in my life where I began to question these principles and needed to put my faith to the test. I fell away for some time, not because I didn't believe but because I felt I needed to be different, I guess for me following the world provided that, it is only now I realise that I had something different and unique from my friends. My children and I listened to the missionaries, I recall watching their faith and acceptance of the gospel during this time with great joy as this example helped me to return to my faith with no doubt in my mind of the truthfulness of it. I was 16 when my father died of a sudden heart attack, I missed him dearly and still do, at first I could not understand why this could happen, but I am reassured by the knowledge that through the gospel families can be forever. It shows me that my Heavenly Father loves me to provide a great plan of happiness for us all, I know that He speaks to us in these times through a living Prophet like he did ancient times. I know that the Saviour Jesus Christ, the Son of God came to earth to live, provide an example for us and to take upon Him our sins so that we can return to live with Him and our Father in Heaven. I know the Book of Mormon to contain the word of God to lead and direct us and I also know that studying it as well as the Bible can and does bring me closer to Him.

How I live my faith

I love to give service, I feel I have a caring nature hence why I love the work I do. I feel that I can find opportunities daily to be of service to others and follow the example of Jesus Christ. At church I have been newly called as a Primary teacher for the 8 and 9 year olds. I am beginning to increase my knowledge through preparing lessons each week and love to teach the, although at times they teach me so much more. I love that the children are able to ask questions and gain a greater understanding.
