Hi I'm Trevor

I was born and raised in Utah. I love technology and anything active and outdoors. I call myself an "active nerd." I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Work: I work for the LDS Church in its IT department. I have been employed by the Church for just over a year and a half. Growing up I never thought I would work for the Church, but now that I am here I am enjoying being part of something bigger than myself or someones pocket book. I received my Masters Degree in Information Systems from the University of Utah and have been doing IT work for several years. Family: I am married to my high school sweetheart. She is by best friend. She is the kindest most Christlike person I know. I am a father of 3 beautiful children, sadly my twin boys are already back with our Heavenly Father. Timothy and Kyson were born prematurely and were unable to survive in this world. We know that our Heavenly Father needed them for some special work, and that they needed to receive their bodies in order to progress and move forward. I feel privileged to be their father, and I cannot wait to see them again! My beautiful daughter is about to turn 1, and she is always getting into everything. I have come to learn of our Heavenly Father's love for us by feeling a portion of that same love for my children. It always helps when they are cute too! Personal: I love being active and outside. I like to get out of the house and around the neighborhood as much as possible. Being surrounded by friends and family is when I am the happiest. That and being on a boat or a beach!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon, or LDS, because I know that our Heavenly Father loves us and wants us to be happy. I have felt that love and feel a great hope that our Heavenly Father is leading and guiding us still today. I was born in the LDS Church and have studied its teachings most of my life. I went through a 'doubtful phase' in my late teen years, before my mission. I studied the gospel, read the scriptures, and prayed to know if it was all true and if I needed to really dedicate my life to it. I felt a reassuring peace from our Heavenly Father that it is indeed true. Since then I have had many experiences that have reassured my faith and given me great joy. While studying the gospel on my mission, the principles became clear and began to truly make sense to me. Now when I look at the gospel principles, they not only feel right but they make sense. I think the Lord has organized the gospel in such a way that it rings true with us when we study it and pray about it. Now, this doesn't mean that I know everything about everything in the gospel!! That couldn't be farther from the truth! There are many things in the gospel I don't know and that we as a Church don't know. I know that God will continue to teach us the truth of all things as we seek, study, and pray about it.

How I live my faith

I believe our Heavenly Father wants us to be happy, and to have fun. I think that life is full of new experiences that each can teach us valuable lessons about ourselves, our family, our friends, and our Heavenly Father. I try to be active and social. I love being around people and interacting with those around me. Relationships are one of the most important things we can develop here, and are one of the only things we can take with us beyond the grave.
