Hi I'm Letitia Corner

I love life and I'm a Mormon :)

About Me

I like to think that im a generally happy person. I love to laugh and spend alot of time with my family and friends. I've been a member of the Church my whole life but spent a long period of time inactive from the age of 8 untill the age of 21. Although during this time I thought i was happy doinfg everything that the world would deem acceptable, it wasn't untill i came back to church that i realised where true happiness lies. Living the Gopsel of Jesus Christ :) I'm not perfect, no-one is, but i strive every day to make sure that im trying to do my best and follow the example Jesus Christ by helping others around me. I love to make people smile and help out where ever i can. Im a singer/songwriter and since being back at church my music has been centered around the gospel and how my journey through life so far has made me the person i am today.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church and was baptised at 8. I went inactive when i was around the same age and didn't come back untill i was 21. Being a mormon makes life so much easier to deal with. Its not a way to take the pain away from the life we live....it just makes it easier to cope with knowing the truth and why we are here. I chose to come back to church because i knew something was missing in my life....i much happier than i was before and because the church is so involved with service towards others you get so many temperal and spiritual up lifts. Not constantly thinking about yourself all the time helps you to help those around you. I love it and i wouldnt want my life to go back to the way it was.

How I live my faith

Everyday i wake up and thank my Heavenly Father. This is because i know that he is behind all the good that i do and the wonderful things that i have in my life. I am currently serving a full time mission in the California Anaheim mission in the USA. Through reading the scriptures and through daily prayer I come to know my saviour better each day. I do everything i can to be a better person and to be kind to everyone....yes that means all you who may be mean to me too :-) Christ loved everyone without condition and that is how we must try to be. I keep the word of wisdom through not filling my body full of rubbish....smoking, drinking etc. I used to do this when i was inactive but through repentance I am able to be forgiven and cleansed from all that happened in the past. This is such a gift as all the things that i may slip on, only if i am truley sorry, it can all be washed away. The feeling you get when you know that you have been forgiven is indescribable, it just shows how much our Heavenly Father loves us. Im trying every day to be an example of jesus Christ and to be a good Latter Day saint, Why? because i Know that this Church is true and although people may scorn and try to bring me down, i try and love them anyway because thats what Christ would have done. Everyday I thank my heavenly father for all that i have because i know that without the true gospel, the scriptures, my family and my friends, i would not be where i am today. Happy and loving life -

What is the Book of Mormon?

Letitia Corner
The Book Of Mormon is another testiment of jesus Christ. It is a book comparable to the Bible in a sense that it actually supports what the is in the Bible. It contains the writings of ancient prophets, one of which is called Lehi. Lehi was commanded by God to leave Jerusalem around 600BC and lead a group of people to the American Continent. When they arrived there they became a civilisation. God contiued to call prphets among them and so these people knew about Jesus Christ and Heavenly Fathers plan for us. Their Prophets were commanded to keep records of their dealings with God and record where Christ appeared to them after His ressurection and established his church among them. The Book of Mormon contains the teachings of Jesus Christ. It testifies of his earlthy ministry and his atoning sacrifice for all mankind. The book contains a promise, that whosoever reads the book and prays to know of its truthfulness with a sincere heart to know the truth, they will come to know that it is true by the power of the Holy Ghost. Why is family so important to Mormons?

Letitia Corner
We believe that families are central to God's plan for His Children. Families are so important any way but to be able to be united in righteousness and love is amazing :) We believe that it is important for us as families to love, teach, learn and to serve one another. We get much strength from unity in the family and it brings so much happiness into the lives of those within the family when we are striving to help one another. Every family is different and goes through different trials and struggles and we cannot control most circumstances that we are born into. but we can choose how to respond to the situations we are put in. We can choose to try and make our families stronger and happier or we can choose not to. The main goal for me and for many is to have an eternal family that can be united together and live in happiness forever, not just in this life :) Show more Show less
