Hi I'm Caitlyn!

I work with special needs children, I love my family, and I love to laugh. I'm a Mormon!!!

About Me

I am 27-years-old. I am currently student teaching and getting ready to graduate from college. I love working with kids! I love spending time with my husband, taking naps, and telling a good joke!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints has brought me the greatest joy in my life! Even in the hardest times I can look back and always find the joy that came into my life through the church and its teachings of my Savior. I love being a Mormon because I have learned that my relationship with my Heavenly Father and Savior is so individual. They know me on personal level and I can have that same relationship with them. I know that I can pray and receive an answer that was specifically meant for me. I know that I am not just some person in the world. I am important, loved, needed, and most importantly I am a daughter of God!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to do whats right everyday. I have learned that obedience to God's commandments brings happiness to a person's life. Each day I work to become a better person. I also try and find new ways to help others and to help them realize God's love for them. I love helping others! It brings great joy to my life and helps me to continually do whats right and continue living my faith!

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Families are so important to Mormons because we know that families are central to God's plan for us. We have learned that through the ordinances in the temple that a family can be together forever. We can learn some of life's greatest lessons within a family. One of these lessons could be service. Serving those we love most can bring great peace and love to a home. When a child has a home where there is peace and love then they will be able to feel safety in their home. It will be a place where they can learn and grow. A home should be a refuge from the world, a place where each member of the family can get away from the filth of the world and feel safe. My family has been a great support in my life. I have no idea where I would be without them. Even though we do not all live under the same roof anymore, I continually feel their love and encouragement for me daily. My family has been one of the greatest blessings in my life! Show more Show less

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

I know that families can be together forever! Members of our faith who are living worthily have the opportunity to get married in the temple for not only their time on this earth, but for time and all eternity. Over a year ago I had the opportunity to enter the house of the Lord and be married to my wonderful husband. I can't even describe the feelings I had that day. I have never felt the Holy Ghost so strongly. The feelings I had as my husband and I were getting married and sealed for time and all eternity testified of the truthfulness of an eternal marriage and family. Show more Show less
