Hi I'm Melodee

I learn, laugh, love. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a student. My major is Deaf Studies. I love everything about the beautiful Deaf culture and language. I have come to see the world in a different way, from a different angle. I enjoy learning everything and consider myself a student of the world. I'm learning how to swim this summer and enjoy the challenge it has been presenting. I love my family, they are my world. With 5 married siblings I have many nieces and nephews that I adore. I love my extended family, my friends who keep my grounded and pretty much anyone I’m blessed to have come into my life. I love to laugh. Improve is my favorite hobby. I love the spontaneity of a good joke. I just want to spend the rest of my smiling.

Why I am a Mormon

I gained my testimony of this gospel in my teen years. I had come to the point in my life when I was truly seeking to understand who I was and what my relationship to God was. One night when I had been forced to my knees there was, in answer to my plea for help, overwhelming feeling of happiness that swept my whole being. In that happiness I knew that these were feelings only felt from God. I knew that he lived; I knew that he loved me and that he was there for me. These feelings still reside with me today. I came to know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is just that, the church of Christ. The prophet Joseph Smith restored Christ church and Thomas S. Monson is His prophet today. I have come to know these things for myself through studying the scriptures and prayer.

How I live my faith

I had the opportunity to live in Texas and share the gospel with good friends there. Right now I organize group activities for the singles in my area. I enjoy the opportunity my church participation gives me to get to know my neighbors and those around me.
