Hi I'm Jenessa

I am from Centerville, Utah. I'm studying nutrition. I love hiking, rock climbing, waterskiing, and warm weather! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 23, and a student working on my masters degree in sports nutrition. I love teaching people, whether I'm teaching them how to count calories or teaching them about the gospel and sharing my testimony with them! I enjoy spending time with my family, because they are my best friends. I enjoy being active and love doing anything outdoors-skiing, hiking, climbing, and competing in triathlons. My dream is to someday be able to do an Ironman. I currently work as a diet tech in a children's hospital and I absolutely love it! I love helping people and making a difference in their life. If I could travel anywhere in the world right now, I would go to Australia or Hawaii.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised a Mormon, but have developed my own testimony, knowledge and love for the gospel. I am so grateful that I was fortunate enough to be born in the covenant and to always have had the power of the priesthood and the knowledge of the gospel in my life. I continue to live this way because I know it is the only way whereby I can return to live with my Father in Heaven and this was made possible by the atoning sacrifice of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It is by the small and simple things that my faith grows; paying my tithing, attending my church meetings and serving, praying, and attending the temple are just some of the small steps I've taken that have had the biggest impact in my life. These are the things that have helped me stay on the straight and narrow path and have strengthened me against Satan's temptations. My testimony grows each day I strive to live the gospel to the best of my ability. I'm so grateful for my Savior. I know he lived a perfect life. I know he suffered in the Garden of Gethsemane and experienced pain that I can't even begin to comprehend. I know he died on the cross by giving up his life for me. I know he makes it possible for me to repent and helps me as I strive to become perfect...even though I am far from perfect. He is the only way that we can be saved. I know that when we keep the commandments and follow His plan, then we will experience true and everlasting happiness. I am so grateful for the plan of salvation, for the knowledge I have that families are eternal. I would be lost without that knowledge. Life makes so much more sense with this knowledge! This is why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I serve in my ward on a service committee. We seek out opportunities to serve within our stake boundaries and organize monthly activities for our entire ward to participate in. We look for missionary opportunities to share the gospel with others and look for chances to invite those not of our faith to activities and to come to church with us.
