Hi I'm Dianne

I live in the beautiful state of Idaho with my husband. I enjoy traveling, camping and hiking. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a convert to the church but have been a member for 32 years now. My husband and I love the outdoors and Idaho is fabulous for camping, hiking, fishing and other outdoor activities. I also like to scrapbook and work on my family history. Right now I'm researching my Hungarian ancestors which has been a challenge, but so rewarding! We love to travel and spend time with our adorable grandchildren.

Why I am a Mormon

I always wondered how it could be that Jesus only visited one people after his resurrection. But now we know that isn't true. He visited other people. The Book of Mormom is a record of Christ's visit to the people in the America's. We as latter day saints have a strong faith in Jesus Christ and as we learn more about him, we learn how we can live with him and our Heavenly Father again someday. I am a convert to the church and have not always been active, but have always had a testimony, although it may have been weak during certain times in my life. But that all turned around when we found out my father had cancer. He had such a strong testimony of this gospel and knew without a doubt that this was the true church restored to the earth in our day. The time I spent with him during his illness was difficult, but also rewarding. I learned so much from him. My parents and sisters and brother were all sealed together as a family in the Temple a few months before my Dad passed away. I knew that was the happiest day of his life, knowing that we would be an eternal family..together forever!! God intended the family to be eternal. There have been many witnesses in my life that I cannot ignore that have testified to me of the truthfullness of this gospel. The Book of Mormon is the word of God. Everything about our church is as it was in Jesus's day. We have a prophet that leads and guides us on the earth today. He has 12 apostles. We have Temples where we make covenants with our Heavenly Father and learn more about him. The members of this church have integrity and values and we teach our children the difference between right and wrong. We are not perfect, but we strive to be. And the atonement of Jesus Christ makes up for the rest. I am so grateful for my Saviour and his sacrifice for me. And I am grateful to be a member of this church.

How I live my faith

I am a Family History consultant in my ward, which is perfect for me since I love Family History. I have spent many hours doing my own family history research and it is very rewarding to help others find their ancestors. I live my faith by striving to be a good honest person. I try to be a good example to those that I work with by my words and actions. I do not swear. I dress modestly. I obey the word of wisdom. I strive to attend my church meetings and do my visiting teaching. I support my husband in his callings. Family is number one!! I have a work/life balance and my family is very important to me. I attend the Temple. The most important thing in my purse is my Temple Recommend. I want my Heavenly Father to know how thankful I am for the blessings in my life so I pray every day.
