Hi I'm Deon

I am a Convert, a former drug dealer,HIV positive,. I am at peace. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

About Me...well that can a long story, however I can make it short. I come from a Southern Baptist background. Born in the South, grew up in the city of Chicago. I have always been a little different, I love music (all types), poetry, and photography. My family, they have always been important to me. Faith in the Lord has always been an important part of how I was raised. In 2010 I was diagnosed being HIV positive. I was not upset, I dug in my heels and knew it was time for a change,,,, a year later June 2, 2011 I was baptized in Plain City, Utah. As I look back I was always spared from what could of been worst, that I PRAISE Heavenly Father for,,,, I am at PEACE

Why I am a Mormon

I say LDS, because we as Mormons belong to the Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter Day Saints. The FULLNESS of God's plan of SALVATION is practiced as the ancients spoke and as Jesus lived... in modern times. I have seen to many churches "pimp" those who desperately and sincerely want to live for the Lord. I believe that Joseph Smith is the Prophet of the Restored Gospel. I have not experienced love not only of the Godhead, but those who TRULY live for the Lord.

How I live my faith

I live my faith a day at a time... never forgetting the love that the God Head has for me. I am not PERFECT and yet I have been loved from the beginning. I strive to live according to the Word of God in the Bible and the Book of Mormon. In my soul of soul, FAITH has always been about ACTION, not just a noun. I have found that in being a member of the LDS Church

What is faith?

"faith" ... to me is knowing and believing that Heavenly Father knows me... that I am not a small fish... and that when I talk to Him... He will hear me and it there... I do not understand EVERYTHING, but I know enough Show more Show less
