Hi I'm Steve

I'm a Latter-day Saint in the south, and live with my wife and 3 girls. I served my mission in Chicago where I learned Spanish

About Me

I'm married with three girls. I work in sales (commission only) within the Human Resource industry and love communicating with people, learning of them and helping where I can. I take a very consultative approach to my work, which makes it easy to build a rapport. I know no strangers! We serve in the church in a local area that does not have a lot of members which can be challenging for our children who do not know many other children their age. Recently with the tornadoes, it has been a great blessing to serve our fellow brothers and sisters and interact with them in ways I never thought possible.

Why I am a Mormon

With the casual ways people treat each other these days, and the onslaught of social media and bad influences, I want the best for my three girls and want them to enjoy all the blessings of living a virtuous life that they may enjoy the same blessings. While I was born and raised in the church, my conversion occurred when I was 17. Since then I served a mission, learned Spanish, went to school to obtain my degree, and am currently helping my wife accomplish her dream of finishing school herself. I find joy in living the Gospel of Jesus Christ and love sharing it with others.

How I live my faith

Because the congregation in my area is really small, I have a unique opportunity to not only serve as the Elder's Quorum President, but also teach the youth class (14-17 years old) where we can have anywhere from 10-17 youth on any given week. The Quorum is great and we have seen some great blessings in serving our area, again more so recently with the tornadoes that hit just 8 miles north of us. Serving others in these ways has been a blessing. The youth are fun to work with because they are humble and do strive to chose the right and live righteously, something that seems to be getting harder and harder these days among our youth, I only hope and pray my girls will one day be as faithful as the youth I teach today.
