Hi I'm Andrew.

I'm a College Professor, a father of 5 and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college professor and teach a second year Industrial Automation program at a college in British Columbia, Canada. I teach students about the automation of any type of manufacturing and control processes such as mining, petro-chemical, pharmaceutical and pulp & paper. I am a Christian and a Mormon. I am a husband and father to five beautiful children. My wife and I are best friends and do everything together. We try to live our lives following the example of Christ to love God and love one another.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was young, my parents were taught about the restoration of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and were baptised. I was young and as I grew and learned about Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ; I felt His love in my life. I learned to pray to God and learned to recognise the Holy Spirit guide me. Later when I was married, we had a son, who was born with Spina Bifida. As with any major challenge in life, you begin to question your fundamental beliefs. I decided that I had to put my religion to the test. I earnestly read the Book of Mormon and prayed that I would find out for myself if it was true. God answered my prayers and gave me a peaceful feeling in my mind and heart that He would be there to guide and strengthen me. For over 40 years now, God and Jesus Christ have been in my life to do just that; guide and strengthen me every day. I have found that personal, sincere prayer to God and daily scripture study are the two most important tools to maintain my personal relationship with God.

How I live my faith

Once I personally knew that God lives and Jesus Christ is the Saviour and Redeemer of the world, I had purpose and direction in my life. There is no more compelling force, than to know that there is a God, and He knows and loves each one of us. Even with this knowledge, we have our agency to make constant decisions and course corrections in our lives.I try each day to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ and draw closer to Him.
