Hi I'm Jon

I am one in a family of eleven, I build domes, and I am a Mormon

About Me

I am 23 years old and I love growing up in Idaho. I love to camp, fish, ride dirtbikes, snowmobile, and anything that is related to shooting guns. In short, I am dignified redneck. Redneck because of recreation, and dignified academically. I will attend college in the near future and someday I hope to be an architect. I build domes and will design them one day. I have a whole bunch of nieces and nephews and I love to spend time with them and pick on them. I am not married yet, but hope to be shortly so that I can have a family and enjoy the greatest joy know to man, the family!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because that is what God wants me to be. In fact, God wants all of his children to be Mormon. A person is not Mormon because of a name, but he/she is Mormon because they have been baptized by someone holding the Priethood of Jesus Christ and confirmed, or given the Holy Ghost by that same priesthood authority. So anyone that has been baptized and confirmed by the priesthood authority of Christ will be Mormon because the Mormon church is the only church that has the authority from God to do so. It is a bold claim to make, I wouldn't make it if it wasn't true. I am Mormon because I have recieved a personal witness that this is the only true and living church on the earth. I have recieved my answer, as can anyone, by the same source as did Peter the Apostle when he learned that Jesus Christ was Gods Son. "And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Bar-jona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven." (Matthew 16:17) I know that God still speaks to us today through a living prophet and that he has a plan for each and everyone of us. I know that the Book of Mormon is a witness of Jesus Christ and is true. I know that Jesus Christ is the Savior.

How I live my faith

I live my faith every moment of everyday. Being a member of Chritst"s church requires me to make decisions on what He would have me do, rather than what I want to do. I am currently attending a young single adults congregation in Menan, and am making many friends and metting new people. I try to read my scriptures everyday and I pray every morning and night. Each Sunday I attend church to renew my covenants, or promises that I made with my Heavenly Father at the day of my baptism. Also at church I have the opportunity to learn the Doctrine of Christ by reading scriptures and listening to talks prepared by congretional members. In short, I live my faith by being an example of the believers.
