Hi I'm Travis Dee Morris

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am an only child of seventy years of age. Between my wife and me we have eleven children. I am retired and am trying to build a vineyard on the eleven acres we live on in Texas.

Why I am a Mormon

I have investigated many churches. I have known many good people, some of which were not Christian. Most Christian churches told me that if a man died without accepting Jesus Christ he was going to Hell, including these good people I knew. I could not accept this. In 1970 I was installing a telephone for two LDS Missionaries and I ask them the question "What becomes of good men when they die without knowing Jesus Christ". They revealed to me the plain of salvation and the vicarious works that are done in the Temples of the Lord for those that did not have the opportunity to accept Jesus Christ in this lifetime. This rang so true to me I began to take the missionary lessons and was soon afterword baptized. I accepted God as my anchor in life and have been true to this gospel ever science.

How I live my faith

I attend Church every Sunday so I can get my batteries recharged by the word of God through the Lords servants. I also volunteer at the Family History Center twice a week. I pray over every meal and when I feel moved to do so. Most of all I pray to thank God for what he has done for me. I try to be a good neighbor and serve my community.

Why do Mormons perform baptisms for the dead?
