Hi I'm Mike

I was born in Utah, raised in Maryland, and now live and work in Minnesota. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a consultant for a software company, and recently moved to Minneapolis for work. I graduated from BYU with a degree in Communications a few years ago, and somehow found myself in the tech industry. I enjoy sports, live music, and good laughs. Spending quality times with friends and family is important, and I try to make that a priority.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised as a member of the church, both of my parents coming from Mormon families. Growing up, going to church always felt like the right thing to do, but I really relied on the faith of my parents. It wasn't until my last couple years of high school that I really started to try to figure things out for myself. In the end, I came to the conclusion that the LDS church was the true church of Christ, and the the doctrine taught is His doctrine. When it comes down to it, the reason I am a Mormon is because I have seen and experienced the fruits of living the gospel of Christ. Life may not always go the way we plan it, but it goes the way God has planned it. If we are living the gospel, we will have a better understanding of what that plan is.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be the best example that I can be. I don't always succeed, but I feel this at least keeps me pointed in the right direction. I try to serve in the church in whatever capacity is asked of me. I think one of the key truths of the gospel is that the more we serve others, and help them to grow closer to Christ, the more we grow ourselves.
