Hi I'm Eric

I'm a Mormon. I just moved to Maryland, USA and love it here.

About Me

I am a medical resident, working on becoming a foot and ankle surgeon. My wife and I love to go to the free outdoor movies that Baltimore offers, an occasional baseball game, and American football. Recently, we started watching a little bit of rugby and hope to be able to go to the olympics in 2016 and watch a few matches.

Why I am a Mormon

I love the teaching that families can be together for all eternity. I believe that our loving Heavenly Father created a way for us to return and live with him for eternity. That is why I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. It is the only church that I know of that has that as one of it's fundamental doctrines. In quiet moments, I can feel deep down that it is true.

How I live my faith

I have enjoyed many different ways of serving others through the church. Including helping people in Brasil, serving in the nursery, being an assistant scout master, and working in the Temple. Each of these have brought me satisfaction, knowing that I am helping those around me feel our Savior's love for them.

What is the difference between attending church and the temple?

I love going to the Temple and using it as quiet reflection time. I think about how I can be a better husband, neighbor, student etc. At the Temple, I feel closer to God and so I feel that He is able to inspire me in ways that I can improve. At church I am able to help others gain a testimony by commenting during a lesson or giving a talk. When I do those things, my own faith in Christ grows. Show more Show less
