Hi I'm Sekope E. Tagilala

I am Fijian, I love sports, I am a convert, and I am hungry...and I'm a Mormon

About Me

Bula, my name is Sekope. I was born and raised on the Beautiful Island of Fiji but somehow found myself in California. I was raised a Jehovah's Witness (never baptized) with the knowledge of a God and his son, Jesus Christ. But through some searching, growing, and church basketball, we are filled with joy and the Holy Ghost as members of this wonderful gospel. My family and I was baptized in 2007 and enjoy the assurance that we can live not only in this life but together in eternity as well.

Why I am a Mormon

While growing up, I knew that there was a God. I understood that God created the earth and all things in it. I also knew that God had a son and His name is Jesus Christ. But, I never knew that their is life after death. I never knew that I had a loving Heavenly Father who wants us to communicate with him through prayer. I never knew that I could be with my family for all time and eternity. No other church has answered the questions I have had about life than the Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I am a Mormon because I read the Book of Mormon and Heavenly Father answered my prayers through feelings of peace, comfort, and love. The Church is true and the book is blue. Just see for yourself.

How I live my faith

Jesus Christ is perfect. He set the example in which all can follow. I, on the other hand, am far from perfect. But I will always strive to be like him. By following his teachings, loving others, and being an example like the Savior, I am trying to be Like Jesus.
