Hi I'm Allan Bosch

I live in the beautiful Sierras. My career was telecommunications. I volunteer with the Boy Scouts of America. And I'm a Mormon

About Me

I grew up in Northern California, near Coloma, where gold was discovered starting the 1849 California Gold Rush. So history has always been part of my life. I graduated high school in 1968. Went to college at Brigham Young University, graduating in 1973. I served a mission for the church in Uruguay. I still communicate with life-long friends that I made during that service. In 1972 I married my wife (The best move of my life). We have three children and four grandchildren. My career took my family all over the western USA. I worked in marketing for AT&T for 22 years. I received my MBA from Nationl University. I am currently retired but dabble in my own investment company. I live in California's beautiful Sierra Nevada Mountains. I enjoy working with the Boy Scouts of America and helping young men develop citizenship, integity and love for God. My current hobbies include reading and playing with the grandkids. I also enjoy researching my family tree, it is important in helping determine who I am.

Why I am a Mormon

I was baptized into the Momon Church when I was eight years old, Mormons call that the age of accountability. I was taught that when I was baptized my sins would be washed away. After I was baptized I felt clean and closer to God. However, as the years grew on I questioned my decision to join the church at such a young age. When I was seventeen years old I was challenging authority and I had to know for myself about the truthfulness of this faith. I began a regiment of personal prayer to determine if what I had been taught was the truth. For months I prayed, not receiving an answer. Then a marvelous thing happened. I was attending an evening youth get-together where a guest speaker spoke about Joseph Smith, the Mormon Prophet that restored Christ's true church. As she spoke my heart was full and I was given to know that what she was saying was the truth. From that day forward I have continued to grow in the knowlege of the truthfulness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It helps me to realize that it is only through the attonement of Jesus Christ that we can be washed clean. I pray that each week as I partake of the Sacrament I can repent of past wrongs and eventually become perfected through the redeeming power of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. That is why I am a Mormon!

How I live my faith

Living my faith is a consumate part of my live. I say to myself, "If you believe, then demonstrate your belief through your actions." This attitude has focused my life of service. I have been able to serve in the church, the community and at work. Through this service I have come to know others and by doing this I have come to know myself. I currently enjoy helping others discover their family roots. I receive great joy in seeing them find links to there ancestors. I will continue to find avenues of service that can help others discover the gospel of Jesus Christ.
