Hi I'm Edgar

I am a Mexican-American. I am an engineer and I am a mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Mexico City until it was time to go to college. I was given a scholarship to get my bacholors at Idaho State. I was introduced to the church in Idaho while going to college through a friend. At the same itme, it was hard to miss all the church going people every Sunday while living in the college dorms. I had a hard time adjusting to the new country and being away from my family. I now know it was Heaveanly Father taking down my pride, so my heart would be open to receive the restore gospel. When I heard about the gospel for the first time, it was very hard to believe, therefore, Igave up on it. A few months later, another friend introduced me to the gospel and this time it was different beacuse we attended a religion class together and that touched me like nothing else had. That same night I kneeled down and prayed about the gospel and got my answer. I joined the church and 2 year later I left o serve a mission. Once I returned, I finished my bachlors in engineering, got married and got my graduate degree. I have two daughters and I work as an engineer. I'm also a dual citizen of both countries.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because I know to be true that the restored gospel is upon the earth. I know it through prayer and in confidence through my heavenly father that has answer that prayer. The truths that I have learned have taught me that I know how to find peace in my life. They also have taught how to understand adversity that provide a better perspective to life's challenges. I know life is not easy, but living it makes it all worth it with a purpose in mind. Oue beliefs of eternal families have bounded not only my immediate family, but my parents and sister that have joined the church right after me. The family we have become after joining the church is not perfect, but the gospel has giving me more than I could have ever imagined. I am at peace with my self and find happiness in all that I do.

How I live my faith

I conduct my business meetings and people that I come acquainted as someone that doesn't drink, smoke, or use profanity. My line of work as an engineer calls for meetings where alcohol is served during business meetings. In addition, the contractors that I do work with they use rough launguage which I do not participate or do not use. People that I am acquainted understand that I am a christian and strive to follow to do the right.
