Hi I'm Devyn

I am a 'stay at home' mommy. My kids and husband are the most important things in life to me. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mommy of two. I am currently a 'stay at home' mom, with a small, hardly part time job that gets me out of the house a day or two a week. My husband is a hard working, loving man and a wonderful father. I help him run our two businesses. My children are still small, and we enjoy spending time with them, watching them learn and grow. Life is so beautiful and wondrous through their eyes. I enjoy being a mom/wife more than anything in this world. Other things I enjoy doing include: blogging, crafting, shopping, digital scrapbooking, and graphic designing. I have my real estate license and may go back into that field when my children get a little older.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the Mormon church. I won't say there weren't times I didn't waiver from what I had been taught. However, I will say that at the end of the day, the things I had been taught through the gospel, were the only things that got me through the rough times in life. Being a Mormon always felt right to me. Always felt good. However, I did feel the urge/want to find out for myself if the church was true, and as I got down on my knees and asked, it was reaffirmed to me that it was true. And that I already knew. This life is tough. It's bitter sweet. And I need all the help I can get. I want to please my Heavenly Father, because in the eternal perspective, this life is a test. A test that I want to do my best on. And I need His helping hand to guide me through. I have felt the peace and comfort that this gospel brings, and that is something I cannot deny. I'm happy. Not just a happy that worldly things can bring. I have a happiness that lasts. For forever. And for that simple reason, I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I am a leader over the young women in my ward. I love this calling! I get to help teach the young women the gospel, organize activities, go to Girls Camp, etc. I love learning from the YW. The youth of this generation are so strong in mind, body, and spirit. It truly is inspiring. I also am doing my best to teach the gospel in my own home to my children. Family is the central unit of our religion and the most important. I believe whole heartedly that success starts in the home. As I teach my children, they are also teaching me. They are so innocent and have so much love an appreciation for the Savior and His gospel. It is so eye opening, how much they love this gospel. They can feel the good and the love that our Heavenly Father has for them. They love to read scriptures, say prayers, sing primary songs, and go to church. The truly are a choice generation! And there is nothing sweeter in the world than to hear your own childs prayer. And when my little babies sing about being "A Child of God" there is no doubt in my mind that it is true!
