Hi I'm Emily

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up on a small island on the west coast of Canada. I lived in the interior of B.C for a few years where I went to school for general studies and worked in a retail clothing store. I loved the experiences I gained while living there, the new people I met daily and the lasting friendships that have been made. I will now soon be leaving to serve a full time mission in the Salt Lake Temple Square mission for 18 months. I'm looking forward to this with great excitement and anticipation.

Why I am a Mormon

I was blessed to be born into the church. I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the true church that was restored to the earth by the prophet Joseph Smith. I know this because of personal prayer, scripture study and listening to the words of latter day prophets. I also know that all can come to know this for themselves by by diligent scripture study and sincere prayer. I am so grateful to be a part of this church.

How I live my faith

I recently decided to serve a full time mission. I feel the happiness the gospel brings and I have a strong desire to share that with others. Having a knowledge of the truthfulness of the gospel brings me the greatest joy I can imagine. When I think of the commandment 'love thy neighbor as thy self' I feel an overwhelming desire to share the gospel. If you love those around you, you will likewise want them to experience the greatest happiness you know. I know that this is the true church and that by abiding by it's precepts we can all one day return to live in our Heavenly Fathers presence.
