Hi I'm Cameron

I grew up in Utah and New Mexico, but call Washington home. My career is making video games. I'm a husband, father, and a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up mainly in Utah but also lived for a while in New Mexico. Video games have always been a hobby of mine and during College I had a goal to make working in video games my career. During my career I've had the pleasure of working on Tennis, Snowboarding, and Flight Simulation games. I hold a Computer Science degree from the University of Utah where both my wife and I graduated. Although video games are fun, I love to spend time with my family playing at the park or going on a new adventure. We are big Disney fans and the Disneyland Resort is our favorite vacation spot. When I'm not spending time with my family or work, I am usually doing something with the Boy Scouts where I volunteer. I'm an Eagle Scout myself and feel privileged to be able to work with the youth to help them set and achieve their goals. I speak Spanish and served a Mission for the church in Chihuahua, Mexico (which is one of the highlights of my life).

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the Church since I was very young, but I have a strong personal testimony that Jesus Christ is our Savior and that the LDS Church is His true church. The Church has taught me many things about the Gospel of Jesus Christ and it has helped me become the person that I am today. Even though I had been taught these principles from my early childhood, during my teenage years I had a deep desire to know personally if the Church was true and if the Book of Mormon is the word of God. Just as it is written in Moroni 10: 3-5, I studied the Book of Mormon and then one day prayed to Heavenly Father and asked if the teachings within are true. Just as the scripture dictates, I received a personal answer to my prayer through the Holy Ghost that it is true. The many spiritual and uplifting experiences I have had since then have only further strengthened my testimony in Christ and the Book of Mormon.

How I live my faith

My faith is part of my everyday life and values. Through the teachings of Christ I have come to know the love of God and it has brought happiness and meaning not only to my life, but to those around me. As such, I decided to serve as a Missionary for the Church and was assigned to work in Chihuahua, México. There are many that want to know the truth of the Gospel and I was privileged to be able to help others find the truths, happiness, and blessings that I have. I still consider my Missionary service as some of the best years of my life and it has come to help shape the person that I am today. With my wife and son, we study the words of Christ, pray, and council together as a family. I also strive to be honest, fair, hardworking, and respectful of others and their contributions. For the past few years I have been volunteering and helping with the young men in my area as an advisor and Boy Scout leader. Working with the young men is one of my favorite things. Many have become good friends and I enjoy the chance to help support them through the important and sometimes difficult teenage years of their lives. Through teaching them the Gospel of Christ and the values of the Boy Scouts I know that it will help them to become honorable young men and help them come to know the love of Christ as I have. It is my hope that one day one of these fine young men will be able to serve the same role for my son during his teenage years.

Are Mormons Christians?

Absolutely I have a deep love and testimony of Jesus Christ as our Savior. We believe in His teachings and ministry found within the Bible and follow His Gospel. Through Christ all mankind has the opportunity to be saved by following those teachings. Show more Show less
