Hi I'm Jake

I like a toss of the frisbee, a fish fry or two, and making the turn on 9 I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am 21 years old, I enjoy golf and basketball. I find joy in music; I play guitar, piano and sing. Photography makes me happy. I have attended one year of college studying business.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because it makes sense. Living in the south you meet a lot of great people with many different beliefs and faiths. Its a joy to talk with these people. But I often have questions with their beliefs that cannot be answered even by faith alone. I have come to know for myself that the doctrine of Christ which is taught, and practiced in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true in fact it is the exact, unaltered, perfect gospel that Jesus established while walking on this earth. His teachings are understood and give us a clear path to follow in our lives, his doctrine is without flaws. I have studied it out in my mind and asked God if these things be true. It is true, Christ lives, his atonement is infinite and his doctrine is pure and answers all the questions of the soul.

How I live my faith

I have a chance to preach the gospel which I am grateful for. It has blessed my life seeing peoples lives change. It also has helped me grow individually by being immersed in the work of Jesus.

Why do Mormons perform proxy baptisms in their temples?

Baptism is such an important ordinance here on earth. Many people did not have the chance to hear the word of God while living. We perform these baptisms so that all may have the choice to accept the saving ordinances of the gospel whether in this life or in the life to come. Show more Show less
