Hi I'm Amy

I have lived in Utah all my life. I am a distance runner. I love running marathons. I love my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a missionary for the Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Missionary work is incredible as I am able to testify day by day the truth of the gospel and the power that the church has. I also love to run. It gives me a break from day to day stress and allows me to ponder on experiences I have had. I ran my first marathon April 17, 2010, and have continued to run marathon's ever since. I qualified for the Boston marathon on June 9, 2012 with a time of 3 hours and 33 minutes and have continued to improve ever since. I participated in Student Council, in high school, and gave me the opportunity to develop my talents, and to making people to people conversations with everyone around me. I am a big people person who loves to talk and associate with others. It gives me the opportunity to learn and grow from others, but also helps me to share my talents and abilities and develop them. I have been blessed to meet many great people because of the talent I have been given to talk to others. I am going into a Recreation Management Degree with emphasis in Commercial Recreation. It is a Business Management Degree at Brigham Young University and I look forward to continuing my education when I return from my mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have felt to knowledge and strength that comes from living the gospel. I have had the experience that Moroni talks about in Moroni 10: 3-5. I have read, pondered, and prayed. Heavenly Father answered me with a reassurance, peace, and a tremendous amount of love. As I read the scriptures every day I continue to feel the spirit testify the truth of the gospel. I have been supported, by Christ, through every trial and pain I have gone through. The atonement covers all pain and allows us to repent, be free from sorrow, and truly enjoy the blessings of this marvelous gospel. I know that through this gospel I can have the spirit to be with me at all times. It directs me in ways that are unexplainable and allows me to really know and feel the truth. The spirit helps me become closer to Christ as it teaches me how I must live. I know Joseph Smith restored the church upon the earth and translated the Book Of Mormon through the power of God. Joseph Smith truly did the Lords work and I have felt the Spirit testify the truth of this to me. Above all I know God the Father and Jesus Christ live. They have their hands outstretched waiting and hoping for all to come unto them and feel their love. They want our success and are continually helping us even when we may not recognize it. I have felt the powerful love of Christ through the atonement and I know its a healing power. I know this church is true. I feel it everyday, and that is why I'm a Mormon

How I live my faith

As I am a Missionary for my church I have such an excellent opportunity to truly live my faith and to focus all my efforts on building my faith in this gospel and working hard to have God's approval over my life. I live my faith by obeying God's commandments. Obedience is an important key in living the gospel because without obedience the spirit will not always be with me. That is the first thing I do to live my faith which is so important. Another way is I always strive to have the Spirit to be with me. The Spirit testifies of truth and inspires to do good. It will lead me to God's way even when I'm confused about the path I should take. I know I will always be doing what God wants me to do as I live by the Spirit. I must live my life faithfully so that the Spirit may always be present in my life. I love living in this church because of the people who are in it. Although trials come to all, its the faith that keeps everyone going and being happy. Happiness is the key of our existence and in order to be happy I must serve others, do what is right, and have the spirit with me. I find inner happiness as I follow God and do my very BEST to do whats right. I live my faith day by day and take things step by step and continue to work hard to do my very best. As I live this gospel I am truly happy because this gospel makes me HAPPY. Life is good through the hard times when I am doing what is right. That's how I live my faith!
