Hi I'm Tara Dayne

I love words. I'm a nerd. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up right outside of San Diego, CA. My parents divorced when I was four, so I moved a lot. I have been studying English for 5 years and I still have a long ways to go. Grad school and all that is a killer. I want to be a librarian for an elementary school someday. Reading, writing and words in general are my passion. Cooking is a VERY close second. I have two brothers, 21 and 12, that I care about a lot. They mean the world to me. My Mom, Stepdad, and dad are also very important to me. I love my family. They are what inspire me to always be my best and why I am a part of this Gospel.

Why I am a Mormon

I chose to continue being a Mormon because I know that my Heavenly Father loves me and wants me to be happy and the only way for me. How do I know this you ask? That's easy. I simply asked. Heavenly Father will ALWAYS answer a sincere prayer. I may have been born into being a Mormon, but I had to find out for myself that the Book of Mormon is true by reading it and asking if it is true. And my answer was a massive YES. I know that this Gospel is true. I know that you can too. It's life changing. It's amazing. It's simple. It brings true and lasting happiness. It shows me God's love for me as an individual. It speaks of Christ, who really is my Savior. That is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving as much as I can. I want to help others feel the same happiness I do through Christ, so I strive to serve anyone in anyway possible. I live my faith through small and simple things each and everyday, like simply following the commandments and reading scriptures. I live my faith through service and love. I am currently living my faith by teaching the Gospel in Michigan. It is a great adventure!

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

Tara Dayne
Missionaries teach about God and Christ. They share messages about how much God loves his Children and His great Plan of Happiness for each of them. They are called to testify of Christ's Atonement- His suffering and death for each of us and how He atoned for our sins individually. They also share how we can come to know God's plan for us individually through prayer and The Book of Mormon. They answer the questions of were did we come from, why are we here, and where we are going. Their purpose is invite others to participate in the joy they have found through the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Show more Show less

How are the activities of the Mormon missionaries funded?

Tara Dayne
Missionaries and their families fund their own missions. It is purely voluntary. Most missionaries started working young to save to serve a mission. We do it because we love Christ and want others to feel the happiness that only He can bring. That is why missionaries are willing to sacrifice not only their time, but they are also willing to pay for the chance to do so. Show more Show less
