Hi I'm Patrick Tedjamulia

I help people and organizations innovate. I work for Google. And I co-founded Student Genius. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am passionate about breaking new ground, which I believe requires innovation and leadership. My experience innovating started when I was young and my mother taught me how to be creative through Art. I learned how to put together concepts in my mind to create a new idea. I learned how to lead when I was called to serve a mission for my Church in South Africa and then ten months in, I was asked to go into Mozambique to establish the Church as one of the first full-time missionaries. When I returned to BYU, I realized I was blessed with endless educational opportunities my friends in Africa would never receive. So I started a movement to change the way mentoring was done. I co-founded the Open Source Mentoring movement by founding imno.org and getintheirshoes.org. I also co-founded the Movement Against Student Unemployment at StudentGenius.com. Quickly, I realized that any innovation that wanted to make an impact required marketing. So I ventured to learn how to market. I began my marketing career in High Tech at Novell and Altiris. Then gained Brand Management experience at Procter & Gamble and General Mills, and now I am learning how to market at scale at Google. I earned my BS from Brigham Young University's Marriott School of Business and my MBA from Duke University's Fuqua School of Business. I am married to the most beautiful woman in the world and have a little genius named Samuel.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I know that God lives and that He can speak to us each and every day. There is a purpose for our lives, God has implemented a plan for His children on this earth, that we can help make it happen. It's our choice.

How I live my faith

I live my faith every day. I wake up and pray, make an impact, push my family and friends forward, and thank the Lord each night for all the blessings He has provided.
